Why is my summer baby monitor fuzzy on night vision?

My summer baby monitor is extremely fuzzy on night vision. It will focus well up close, but not at a distance like it used to.

I would say that your IR sensors are burning out. Turn the lights off and look at the camera. A bunch of small red lights should be coming on . You will see which ones and how many are burned out. There are a couple of fixes but the cheapest will be a new camera.

Your monitor has become unpaired with your camera. Follow the instructions in the manual to pair them again (basically, tell the monitor piece to Add New Camera while you press the Pair button on the camera). The manuals can be downloaded from www.summerinfant.com.

My summer infant baby monitor is coning in fuzzy what could be issue the model number is #26850

Move the camera closer to the receiver to see if clears up. If it does then it is the transmitter being interfered with by another signal or the transmitter is not powerful enough and it could be broken

During night mode only, the picture is coming in fuzzy and very dark, you cannot even see my daughter. It happens when plugged in or not. Day mode is picture perfect

Night mode is for use with a tripod, do you have a tripod? If you don't, try setting it on a flat surface when you take the picture, the camera has to be perfectly still. I hope this helps!

The camera still works but when its dark in the room nothing shows on the monitor. If we turn the light on it works. It seems like the night vision feature is broken. I covered what looked like the light...

  1. It should go to automatic night vision. If this feature is not working then the answer to will a flashlight work the answer is not very well. The light will have to be on the child and a flashlight does not have much light behind it. Perhaps if you put a small lamp on a dresser that shines on the area the child is, this may work enough to keep an eye on him/her. A flashlight not so much. Hope this helps.

Focusing the left side

You should use also the dioptre adjustment. Especially if you're wearing glasses normally.
Focus the unit with one eye closed first. Then adjust the other eye piece so that you see clearly.
