Why does my LS1203 scans only first 7 digits of bar code?

I have connected it via Keyboard wedge to my host, and it scans only first 7 digits of bar code. I have installed drivers also, and I have scanned bar code which is provided in support file in Chapter 5 Keyboard wedge interface. Does anyone know any solution?

SOURCE: I have a Symbol LS1203 but it doesn't read a C39

Hello,
you would need to set the correct length for the barcode, there are several settings at the page 186 of the Product Manual located here http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=5880807apdf
The options are One Ddiscrete Length, Length Within a Range or Any Length. Please select one of them by scanning the approriate barcode.

SOURCE: scan bar code using motorola MC75

Hello,
there are several ways to use the scanner: you can have an application directly with scanner drivers implemented. Or you can install the application DataWedge provided by the manufacturer.
The DataWedge application will activate the scanner and the decoded barcode is sent as usual keypad input to the system. The application is running in background, so you can have your favourite simple application in foreground and scan data directly.
To download the DataWedge application please go to support.symbol.com website and search for DataWedge, or use this direct link http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=12685

How do I read Barcodes in Microsoft Excel?

<p>Bar code symbols are composed of a number of adjacent bars and spaces of different widths of pre-defined codes. A barcode scanner is used to read or scan the bar code symbol to represent the information to decode. Once the symbol is scanned by a handheld reading device or another, can then be used by computer software to track inventory and perform other functions. Microsoft Excel is a computer application that use bar code information can make the business perform. <br /> <p><br /> <p>1. Is the ds6707 compatable with windows 7?

If connected with a CBA-U01-S07ZAR and programmed as the default HID keyboard USB host type, yes it should be compatible. The device uses the same drivers the host uses for a USB keyboard.

Symbol HotShot LS2106 sounds like it's scanning, however, no data/information is displayed once scanned. Connecting to Windows XP with a USB converted to PS2 cable. Are there reset bar codes available that...

The LS2106 did not support laptop mode so the PS/2 wedge needs to have a PS/2 keyboard attached to the cable. If that does not work I would suggest trying to find a 25-31617-01 Synapse adapter cable and STI85-0200 USB Synapse cable. This would allow you to connect the scanner right to the USB port and it should work without any extra programming. I believe the cost of the two cables (if you have to purchase them new) is almost as much as a new LS1203 scanner with USB cable. At least with the new scanner you would get a three year warranty.

Where is my barcode after I scan it?

Is the cradle connected to the pc via either usb, serial or keyboard wedge?

If so you will need to first, pair the scanner with the cradle by scanning the barcode on the cradle and second, configure the cradle properly so it transmits the data to the host.

Download the product reference guide from motorola website. You will get all the configuration information you need in there.

Symbol LS 9100 does not transmit data

Have a look at the HOST setting in your defaults. I set one of these to default and had the same result. I'm guessing it's because the HOST is blank on Default settings.

Need my p470 symbol scanner to auto enter

It depends on whether you are using a keyboard wedge or a serial connection. Use 123Scan or MCL to make a change to the ADF file that tells the scanner what to do. Then you will have to upload the file to the scanner.

Appending an "Enter" to a scanned bar code
(Keyboard Wedge connection)
Scanned bar code data 04843100Criteria 1 Code type = Any
Criteria 2 Code Length = Any Length
Action 1 Send all that remains Action 2 Send Value Keycode = 7013 <Enter> (String field must be empty)
Output after ADF rule 04843100<Enter>
Note: To have an ADF rule applied to all scanned bar codes, leave the criteria unspecified (Code Type = Any and Code Length = Any Length).

Appending a "Carriage Return Line Feed" to a scanned bar code
(serial connection)
Scanned bar code data 04843100
Criteria 1 Code type = Any
Criteria 2 Code Length = Any Length
Action 1 Send all that remains
Action 2 Send Value String = \0D\0A

Note: Keycode value is ignored when string field is populated.

Output after ADF rule 04843100<Carriage Return Line Feed>
