I need help. I did not know I had 34000 emails..i have been deleting them with trash can all these years..what can I do. Someone said you can walk me through while I am on the computer to get rid of these permanently. I just saw someone say use trash can.... i have been...can someone call and walk me through Nancy wolfe 323 229 4700

In Yahoo Mail:

1. Click Trash.
   - Your Trash folder's contents appear to the right.
2. Select any messages you would like to save.
3. Click Move.
   - A pop-up with your folder list displays.
4. Click the folder you want to move the messages to.

Your selected emails move to the folder you indicated.

Not seeing emails in your Trash? Yahoo Mail regularly empties the Trash folder. Once it's been emptied, they're permanently deleted from the Yahoo Mail servers.

Recover lost or deleted emails and IMs

In order to delete any emails from any folder its all done the same way. So you want to delete trash emails. You select the folder you want to delete in this case the trash folder. After being selected you will all you trash emails. Right above the very first email theres a box you can select with an arrow pointing down. Its right next to the refresh button, (its a circle with an arrow), next to the more. Once selected. The option to delete forever appears, you simply select that option and your emails will delete. I think you must mean your trash can is full? You might want to contact the help desk for your ISP or email provider and see what your options are for emptying the trash bin. Some email providers have a function where there is a check box on the left hand side of the email display for each item, and a general check box at the top of the column that checks all of the items in the list when you check that box. If you have that kind of email display function, first make sure that you are viewing the trash bin, not your regular mail, then check that general check box and wait for all of the items in your trash bin to get automatically checked off. Each of these steps may take a good long time to perform if you have 34k items waiting. Then hit your delete key and wait for them to all be deleted. P.S. Not a good idea to put your telephone number on any website comment area, this one or any other. You may get 'help' in areas you really didn't want.

Could you please clarify with more details? It's not possible without knowing the details how you deleted them. Did you delete them from the Yahoo!Mail or from Microsoft Outlook or from an email program?. I would suggest you to first check the "Trash", it's located below the "Inbox" icon. Click the "Trash" link to open it and check whether your May's emails are there or not. Never click the "Empty" which is beside the "Trash", doing so will delete everything in your trash folder. If you find them in the "Trash", select and click "Move" and then select "Inbox", whatever you've selected will be back to your "Inbox".
*Note: By default, emails deleted from the "Spam" folder are deleted forever. Also, emails deleted from the "Trash" are be deleted forever. There is no way that you can retrieve them, but if you access your Yahoo! Mail from email program/s like Microsoft Outlook or thunderbird, copy of everything is transferred to your computer.

It's possible, if it's been less than 24 hours since you deleted those emails to recover by filling out this form.

If more than 24 hours, and the Trash folder has been emptied, there would be no possible way to retrieve deleted emails.

I don't know if you emptied the Trash folder or if Yahoo! did, but it's not a bad idea to get into the habit of NEVER emptying the Trash folder. Yahoo! empties it for us, so there's really no need for that step.

Unfortunately, all the emails once deleted from spam email box cannot be retrieved. I wish there could have been a better solution.

Losing important emails or accidentally deleting emailsthat you still need can be frustrating. Good news is that Yahoo! Mail providesways to retrieve deleted messages. In fact, whenever you delete a message fromyour inbox, it is automatically transferred to a "Trash" folder incase you need it again in the future.
