Is this code belong with group 2 power chair?
No, this chair has a 300 pound weight capacity so it is a Group 1 PWC for Medicare Billing purposes.
The serial number typically does not have any involvement with Medicare but is used by manufacturers and DME providers to track the chairs. The true definition of what is a group 2 power chair would take a long time to explain but single option Group 2 chairs are coded: K0835-K0840 for single power option and K0841-K0843 for multiple power option.
The specific code depends on the specific chair the person meets medical coverage criteria for. The Hoveround MPV5 you have pictured would typically be K0836 - Power wheelchair, group 2 standard, single power option, captains chair, patient weight capacity up to and including 300 pounds

The number of bars that are blinking will also help to indicate what the problem is. Fault codes are located in the back of the owner's manual.Try doing the brake reset as previously suggested or the lock out sequence noted in the manual; call it in if neither of those steps help.
SOURCE: hoveround technique rwd motorized chair charge
Normally the power chairs will not operate when connected to the charger. If you mean the controller comes on when connected to the charger but it wont come on when the charger is disconnected, I would test the batteries first, then the connections and fuses. Did a technician inspect your power chair to determine a controller was needed, or was that just a guess by the representative over the phone? If your insurance will not cover the repairs, I would recommend spending $50 for a technician from Hoveround to come out and inspect the chair to determine what is needed to fix it so you know for SURE. It may be something simple and inexpensive.
Good luck!

Angel the charger light should only turn green when the chair is fully charged. If you know the chair isn't fully charged then there is a problem with the charging system. if the circuit board in the joystick got wet then that is a serious problem. If you have a voltmeter you can check the battery voltage thru the charging port located under the front of your joystick Set the meter to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the 2 outter holes of the charger port. Fully charged you should read 27-30 volts if you aren't getting any reading then the batteries are completly dead or there is a problem with the charging circuit (the reason you are getting a green light on the charger) The joystick will have to be replaced sorry If Medicare paid for your chair then they will pay 80% of the repair costs to get your chair working again If they did contact Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 to get it fixed thru Medicare Hope this helps
