Some of the very common causes of poor Wi-fi reception include- the Wi-Fi router is placed too far from the device on which the Wi-Fi network is being accessed, too many devices are connected to the Wi-Fi network simultaneously, or Wi-Fi settings are incorrect either on the router or on the device which accesses the Wi-Fi network. There are many more reasons that can hamper your Wi-Fi connectivity.

I have a viprr d600.1 how do i bridge it

Question is, why would you want to bridge it? Bridging is useful when you have a single band router/modem which you have another router you would rather use Wi-Fi on that particular one. When you bridge the single band modem (Modem/router disables the Wi-Fi broadcast) it will allow your router to be the only one to broadcast Wi-Fi. This setup will avoid complications with Wi-Fi interference. So, again, why do you want to bridge it and do you have another internet adapter to bridge it to?

Is it possible to connect a standard DSL modem - without Wi-Fi (with 1 Ethernet port) and a DSL modem - Wi-Fi (with 4 Ethernet port) to broadcast Wi-Fi singles

Does the non wifi modem give out DHCP addresses?
Can the wifi modem be set up to receive it's IP address from DHCP?
If the answer to both these questions is Yes then that's what to do as a first step. Make sure the wifi modem DHCP service is disabled as it must NOT give out DHCP addresses.
Connect the ethernet port of the non wifi modem to one of the LAN ports of the wifi modem and NOT the DSL/WAN port. The wifi modem is not participating in any DSL connectivity at all so it's DSL light will remain off. The non wifi modem is doing the DSL duty so it's DSL light should be correctly illuminated.

I have no wireless

To what Wi-Fi are you trying to connect? Is this your personal Wi-Fi router in your home? Or is this the Wi-Fi at the local coffee shop?
There is a huge amount of information you have excluded that is needed to fix your problem.
Answer these questions:
To what Wi-Fi are you trying to connect?
What kind of 'loptop' do you have?
What is the operating system of your 'loptop'?
Please go to the 'Help' section in your 'loptop' and check there for answers. You might find it right away.
Of the bazillions of Wi-Fi signals out there, and the thousands of bazillions of different kinds of 'loptops' out there, you must be so much more specific with what you are trying to do that I can't help you now. I need input!
The more information you provide, the better chance you have of someone rescuing you. Be smart, share all you know, then add some more, and maybe we can help you. Your "loptop" is only as smart as the information you put into it.
That is the 1st rule of computing.

Wifi saying unable to scan networks

Hello!
Here are the things you can try for a malfunctioing Wi-Fi on your Galaxy S:
Try turning off your Wi-Fi then turn it on again.
  • Sometimes, this works for me as the Wi-Fi might need a restart so it can try scanning again. You can do so by going to Settings > Wireless and Network > Wi-Fi Settings and ticking the Wi-Fi checkbox.
Turn off your handset then turn it on again.
  • An app that was running on your handset might be messing with your Wi-Fi, so to make all things better, you can restart your handset for a fresh boot. :)
Check if there are actually Wi-Fi networks in your area or the Wi-Fi is too weak.
  • If there aren't any Wi-Fi networks to detect, it can't do anything at all in the first place. Try moving to an area with better Wi-Fi signal.

You can ask me if you have any queries! :) ~azukibean70

I purchased a new IPOD and I can not access the wifi from my Linksys wireless router.. I reset my Linksys router to try to solve this problem. And at first when the light was amber I was able to have...

Resolution If you know there is a nearby Wi-Fi network, but you are unable to locate it on the Settings > Wi-Fi screen:
  • Move closer to the Wi-Fi router or hotspot.
  • If you are using a personal Wi-Fi network, verify the Wi-Fi router is connected to power and turned on.
  • Wi-Fi networks configured as "closed" or "private" do not broadcast the network name to Wi-Fi devices.
    • Join a "closed" or "private" network by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi > Other and entering the Wi-Fi network name, security, and password.
After joining a Wi-Fi network, if you notice the signal strength is low or intermittent
  • Move closer to the Wi-Fi router or hotspot.
  • Check for any sources of potential interference.
  • Remove any cases or attachments on your device that could interfere with a Wi-Fi signal.
If you are unable to access the Internet while connected
  • If you are using a commercial Wi-Fi network that requires a special login or subscription, see this article for more information.
  • If you are in a location with multiple Wi-Fi networks, verify that you are selecting the correct network.
  • Verify that the Wi-Fi network settings are correct:
    • Tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
    • Locate the Wi-Fi network you are currently using and tap ts1398_2.jpg
      blank.gif
  • You can configure network-specific settings, including IP address, DNS, and Search Domain settings.
  • Use "Forget this Network" to reset settings for this particular Wi-Fi network, including the password. This is also useful if you identify a network issue and want to prevent the device from automatically using this network in the future.
  • Use "Renew Lease" to acquire new IP address, DNS, and Search Domain information from the Wi-Fi network.
  • Note: If the Wi-Fi network uses MAC address filtering, you will need to add the MAC address to the access list for the Wi-Fi router. The MAC address for your device is listed as the Wi-Fi Address in Settings > General > About.
If you are still unable to join a Wi-Fi network, or are unable to access the Internet while connected, try the following
  • Restart the device
    • Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.
  • Reset network settings by selecting Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings, including passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
  • iPhone only: If you continue to experience issues, consider turning off Wi-Fi and using the cellular data connection instead of Wi-Fi.
Additional Information If using a Wi-Fi router at home, refer to your user manual/documentation to assist you with some of these suggestions.
  • Check the manufacturer's website for your Wi-Fi router for firmware or software updates.
  • Verify the Wi-Fi router can broadcast an 802.11b/g signal. If using a 802.11n Wi-Fi router, consult the manual/documentation for how to configure the Wi-Fi router for 802.11b/g compatibility.
  • If you are using multiple WEP keys on your Wi-Fi router, try configuring your Wi-Fi router to use only a single WEP key.
  • Try or resetting (or turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router. Note: If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
  • Disable wireless encryption or security on the Wi-Fi router to rule out encryption issues. If this resolves the issue, try using a different encryption or security protocol.
