How do you tighten the drum in a LG dryer? - LG DLE2514 Electric Dryer

  • robert Mar 03, 2015

Hi Philip McDivitt, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? what is the issue? there is no tightening. if it appears loose, then most likely you need to replace the rollers that it spins on. four of them.

Loud banding noise in my LG Tromm DLE7177

Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

If you have to replace the drum in 3 years, then i would imaging another drum will wear out within 3 years. Sounds like garbage to me, I advise replace the dryer. Sell the LG on ebay for parts

Lg Gas dryer Dlg0332w drum making noise

The drum on my DLG0332W was also making noise at the back of the dryer...kind of a thump thump thump as the drum rotated. My dryer is only 4 years old. I got brave, downloaded the service manual and opened up the dryer. I found that the drum's welded seam was starting to separate where the roller wheels were coming into contact with the drum at the back of the dryer. Looks like a new drum is in order.

Connect Gas Supply Pipe
(Gas Dryer ONLY)
For further assistance, refer to section on Gas

type of gas in your laundry room. Dryer is equipped at
the factory for Natural Gas with a 3/8” N.P.T. gas

2. Remove the shipping cap from the gas connection at
the rear of the dryer. Make sure you do not damage the
pipe thread when removing the cap.
3. Connect to gas supply pipe using a new flexible
stainless steel connector.
4. Tighten all connections securely. Turn on gas and
check all pipe connections (internal & external) for
gas leaks with a non-corrosive leak detection fluid.
5. For L.P. (Liquefied Petroleum) gas connection, refer
to section on Gas Requirements.
