Go to zynga.com, there is a button on the top right hand side that says, Join Now click on that, if you have facebook, it will allow you to connect with facebook, or you can create an account, by clicking on the Start Fresh Now button, once you have joined, find the Farmville 2 button and click on it.
use can only play farmville through facebook you can play farmville 2 through zynga and facebook i like zynga better for farmville 2 you can get your gifts and items you need from the side panel
