Printer has worked perfectly since purchased, suddenly started printing only the black portions of a photo. Did a nozzle check which confirmed only black cartridge functioning. Deep cleaned all heads....

The print head is still probably still partially blocked. Cleaning/deep cleaning tries to clear the head by flushing ink through, doesn't always work but does use up your ink.

You can get print head cleaning kits, PC shops, ebay etc. Try one of those.

Here's a really useful ebay url. with some youtube links, if you run the second video down you should get a pretty good idea.

Here's a direct link :- http://www.printheadhospital.co.uk/quickshop/

You don't have to buy this one, there may be cheaper, have a shop around.

Printer is only printing a small column of print on the page.... That column is perfect but the rest of the page is blank.

Check the ink levels, then print a test page, then do a head clean, all in the software for you printer, installed on your pc, or should be!

- Select Yes, and press the OK button to print alignment sheet.
- Check the pattern is printed correctly, select Yes and press OK button.
- Confirm the displayed message and press the OK button.

Test page prints fine, but nothing else does

You need a new printhead, QY6-0049-000 around $40.00. Your printhead has worn out or plugged nozzles and cleaning won't help.

Works 8 Word Process set Repeating Page Column Headers

Choosing the single cell below rows you want to repeat on each page and to the right of the column you want to repeat and then freezing that cell will cause those rows and that column to repeat on each page as you print. works fine on preview. However I still can't get the machine to print.

Will not print 6BK

Please see the Canon link below, and as Canon links return generic pages, type in "missing black print" (without quotes) or something of that nature. The results will include Reseat/remove printhead, among others. I have reproduced that content for you below, but I would also add that a number of folks have issues with black print cartridges, and it seems this is an issue that is fairly widespread, as one of the results is that your printer may need repair. If you have tried more than one cartridge with the same result, suggest consulting support if you don't think your usage justifies a new print head - especially if you are still under warranty.
