On lots if TVs if it does not detect an input signal it won't display that "channel" as an input option. I recommend check all the connections between your TV and your devices. if that doesn't appear to be the issue try unplugging all cables then reconnect everything(also unplugging devices from power). If that doesn't seem to fix it try replacing your HDMI cables if the cables went bad that could be the issue. If that still doesn't help you likely need to seek out a local TV repair service.

SOURCE: I have a 47" Visio 1080p. Tv is always set at hdmi

AV inputs are for standard analog video which is 480i. HDMI and Component inputs are the high definition inputs that run at either 1080i or 1080p You won't ever get 1080i or p through AV inputs.

Mr. John either one of two things from start u have done right this is a common thing on flat sets hooked to Direct boxes by HDMI having surges come from box to set. The main board usually needs replacing, so either u received a bad board or u have multiple issues and possibly the T-CON board got surged from main board. This board is located above main and power in center at very top of screen. This will cause symptom that u are describing. Hope this helps.

Samsung LV20M21CP - why it will no longer show sat tv?

Look for a button that says input or HDMI. That should scroll through the inputs available. Make sure the SAT receiver is on when you do this so the TV has a signal and may skip inputs with no signal.

Hdmi 6 and 7 do not work

HDMI does not like connections made with units powered and or on.

Try removing power from the units connected and the set for a while, reconnect them and then connect power to see what happens.

Most Sony sets have a reset but try the suggestion above first.

Hdmi wont connect to hdmi on laptop - shows lg screen on laptop with no model number but shows no signal on tv

Hi andy838,

I see that you LG LCD HDTV is giving you a No Signal message on the Screen.

see steps Below on finding out what will show video on your LCD HDTV.

* First make sure that the HDMI cable is connected to your Laptop to the HDTV LG.
* On your TV check your remote control and look for the input or Source Button, this will help you set your TV for the HDMI connection.
* Once set, turn your Laptop on and see if the HDTV will provide Video from the Laptop to your HDTV using HDMI.
* I believe that works right, now we have video still we need to set the Audio to work from you Laptop using HDMI to your HDTV.
* On your Laptop lower right side look for your speaker icon, right click on the speaker icon then select Playback Devices.
* Once you've selected Playback Devices you will see a window showing you a list of devices and the first one on the list will be you HDMI connection right click on it and select set as default device this will make your audio work on your HDMI to your TV.
* Once audio to HDMI is set and you want to go back to your Laptop just set the speakers as the default device this will set your speakers have the Audio working again on the Laptop.

I hope that this will help you regarding your concern.

Have a nice day,

No longer getting video feed through Home Theatre receiver

HDMI ports 5 and 6 on the back of tv no longer are working. (We had a series of thunder storms so don't know if that is how they got damaged or if it was something else) but moved HDMI input cable to HDMI port 4 on tv and everything is working again. Service call placed for warranty service on tv to repair bad ports.
