Did you re-connect your insignia to an Antenna? Also if your are trying to receive over air broadcast in that part if your house it's possible you'll need a more powerful antenna.

SOURCE: Insignia Flat Screen TV - no cable signal

Hi, need some help here. I have a flat screen tv that will not go on. Its not even 2 years old. Yet I had to keep trying the wall outlet to get it to turn on. Now it won't go on at all. The tv light use to be blue when it was on. Now its pink? Should I ask santa for another, or can this be repaired without too much fuss/cost? Thanks!!!!

SOURCE: insignia tv will not powerup

Nothing at all? Does the screen seem to go from dark black to a lighter shade of black?

If the screen appears to stay on the darker shade of black then it is broken, and needs to be sent for repair. ( ie the screen isnt powering on when the tv is and there is nothing you can do without opening it.

You might try unplugging all cables and leaving it off with no power for a day This is in effect performing a factory reset.

and this may sound stupid and patronizing but is the TV being taken out of standby mode and actually switched on?

SOURCE: Two questions: My Insignia NS-LTDVD 19 flat

This model/brand of LCDs does need a digital converter since they are a low end quality product, the manufacturers did not put an ASTC tuner to decode the HD signals.
The DVD assembly can be replace to fix the DVD issues.
I have a couple of these DVDs assemblies from a broken screens LCDs and they're like new condition.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

I have a flat screen hdtv samsung television and it was moved to another bedroom and the sound stopped working the picture is fine, I just don't know what happened to the sound.

Check the inputs on the back of the TV. A cable might have gotten mixed up in the move, if not, maybe the TV is on mute. Turn up the volume and secure all connections. Restart the TV at the end. Hope this helps =]

Loosing digital channels is equivlent to a snowy analog channel, check you cable connections, and splitters to the tv, since you have two of them out, it does not make sense that it is your tv. It is a conneciton in your cable line somewhere.

This may not be just a reception problem. Usually dark screens are a sign that the inverter power board is getting intermittent or the backlights are fading. If you need service for you television.Call Insignia customer care at this telephone number 1-877-467-4289. They can tell you where to ship or take your unit for service. You can try to solve you reception problems with a amplified indoor antenna. These products can usually be found in local electronic stores like Fry's or the Micro Center. They are television signal amplifiers for antennas. You can buy them all in one package or as a add on. If you are not sure what to look for, just go to the store and ask for their help. Insignia LCD TV 26" Colored Streaks/No Picture

You have a bad LCD panel. The cost of a repair would exceed the value of the unit. Panel will probably cost, if you could find one, around $300-$800.
