Find serial number

The serial number is usually found at the bottom of the laptop if not it could be under the battery and also you can find at bios setup.

Try accessing this website: http://support.asus.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1 and search using the product serial number. If you are not sure where to get the serial number reffer to the following image:Notebook

One of the speakers failed or it has a bad connection.Most likely the non working speaker will need to be replaced.

The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.

Try these steps:
1. Place your laptop on a clean, flat surface and remove all power sources from it. Open your laptop screen as far as you can.
2. Use the flathead screwdriver to pop open the hinge cover. Slowly and carefully pry it open from the right side to the left side, exposing the Asus keyboard screws. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the Asus K50IJ Keyboard in place. Keep these screws in a safe place.
3. Gently tug the Asus K50IJ Keyboard component toward your laptop screen. You are trying to pull it out of the slot that is located near the palm rest and mouse pad. It doesn't take much force, but you must be firm. Once you have pulled it out of the slot, you can lift it up and remove it from your laptop.

Yes this notebook has an internal mic, maybe it's only muted in Windows mixer, please also check if it's not set to very low volume.
