What is a flange and where would it be located? is it hard to install ? how much would it cost approx? would it make check engine light go on
Flanges are connection supports used in pipeline to connect two major pipelines. The mechanical support provided by flanges provides a steady equipment design for the pipeline. For supporting a greater mass, a heavier flange body is required. The structural strength provided by the flange is a great value addition required in the pipeline design. Flanges are connected to each other with the use of fasteners and gaskets.

What flange are you referring to? There are exhaust flanges fuel line flanges etc
Hi,
We need more info. A 'flange' is not a specific part. If the check engine light is on, take it to an auto parts store and have them 'read the codes' to find out why the light is on. Call ahead to see if they store does it for free.

Your problem is typical for these cars. The throttle position sensor is bad. Go to Auto Zone and have them check the codes to confirm this. i've seen this many times, that's usually the problem. It makes the car feel like the brakes are on. Hope this helps. Let me know. Phil

hi..the transaxle converter clutch . tcc. uses a solenoid -operated valve located in the automatic transaxle to mechanically couple the engine flywheel to the output shaft of the transmission through the torque converter.that reduces the slippage loss in the converter.reducing emissions.but check the vss first.which is called the vehicle speed sensor.they both work together .if the vss is not working right it wont call on the tcc.
check this out..
thank u..

Check to see if one of the wire harness has become un clipped from the intake tube like the IAT which would also give you a bad fuel economy if that has become un clipped. If there is a Auto Zone around your area, have them scan the car for DTC codes. Auto Zone scan free of charge and can help you understand why the check engine light has come on. Keep me posted, be glad to help.
