Please, my projection t.v is not working with the SKY HD + BOX. so i dont want where the problem lies.

Try using the component cables instead of the HDMI cable because sometimes devices may not be HDCP which is why you get no picture.

Upgraded Sky+ to Sky +HD, but I now have a messages saying this display does not support HDCP?

Yes your tv is hdcp compliant.
This may not help but often when this message comes up it is the hdmi cable you are using. I do not know whether or not you are using an hdmi to dvi cable or an adaptor or and hdmi to hdmi connection. The cables available for purchase at beachaudio.com are not expensive but they usually work when you need to try another hdmi cable because of this particular message.

Through Sky+ HD when selecting the HDMI connection I get the following statement through Sky "This diplay does not support HDCP....." Any help please Rob

hi,

try to connect the set top box in any other HDMI input of ur tv. reason is bellow read it carefully.

p { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; } HDCP stands for High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection and was developed by ----------. It's nothing more than a security feature requiring compatibility between the sender and receiver, like HD cable set-top box and the TV. By compatibility, mean HDCP technology built into both devices.
Think of HDCP as a security license key like you would input when installing a computer program. Only this security key is invisible to you and me but not your TV.
It works by encrypting a digital signal with a key that requires authentication from the transmitting and receiving product. If authentication fails then the signal fails, which means no picture on the TV screen.

Buy a HDTV that has HDCP capabilities. Most will have this in at least one HDMI input but be sure to verify this before buying the TV.

Notice that "in at least one port." Not every HDMI port on the TV will be HDCP compliant so be sure to read your TV user manual if you plan on connecting a HDMI cable to your TV.

I have just had a skyhd box fitted and every time i switch my technika tv off and then switch it back on i am getting a blank purple screen .it is as if the tv is not reconising the hdmi input cable .the...

I have the same problem, i just bought a new Samsung 37" and am getting the "Purple Screen" on occasion when i switch from Blu-Ray back to Sky HD. I didnt have this issue with my older Samsung. Upon looking into this i have discovered that it is to do with the HDMI Handshake between the TV and Sky Box. One solution i have read is to buy a HDMI splitter that is HDCP compliant (ALL SHOULD BE IN THIS COUNTRY) what happens then is that Sky does the handshake with the splitter and all is ok. I cant confirm that this works as i have not had chance to try it, but it all adds up and makes sense. Hope this helps

I neen help seting up my infocus sp777 calibration and problems with ps3 and sky hd do you no any one in milton keynes who can help ?

Try setting the output of the PS3 to 720p or 1080i
And if your not using the component video on the 4805 try that. If you are using an HDMI to M1-D adapter make sure it is HDCP compatible. (P&D)

LE40R74BDX HDMI input stopped working

I work for sky as an engineer (not a subby)

HDCP is the encryption that is sent down when a program is transmitted. I have had this several times over the years and have found out that you need go to the manufactors web site or call them to update your telly this will sort out this problem.
I would do this sooner then later... reason I am telly you this is sky have take the Component inputs off all the sky boxes now.... The box you have is a THOMSON (have a look.... make you smile)lol this was due to people connecting there sky HD box to there pc via Component and using programs like Copy+ and extract + to copy the content.

If your box breaks down. then you are snookered if you telly is not going to accept the skyHD through a HDMI connection.

Hope this helps
