Within Rhapsody itself, there is an option to synchronize files to your device. You will have to use this feature with your Sansa Clip connected to the computer. Since the songs are already on the device, this will prove difficult. You may actually have to delete the songs off your player, and then reload them through Rhapsody to get them back on the player. Painful and tedious, but that is the only workaround that I know of using Rhapsody's WMA files.
A better solution would be to change your Rhapsody subscription to their Mp3 Only subscription level. It is more expensive, but the songs you download through that subscription level will continue to work, even after your Rhapsody subscription has expired. And it will never give you the message that you mentioned in your problem description, because mp3 files do not need resynchronizing b/c they do not have DRM license restrictions.
Don't worry about it, simply go plug in your mp3 player to the computer and sign in to Rhapsody. Go to your play list and the songs should be there. Unplug your MP3 player and it should work. You have to do this because the warrant or license on your songs is up and you have to plug in your mp3 player to renew that license to keep listening to it. Hope this helps! It worked for me!
I read some of the other post and found that I needed to use Windows Media Player. I had the Rhapsody program on my computer as well. Once I downloaded Windows Media Player I was able to access the files and add and delete songs.
My husband is not a big fan of Media Player. Lets hope I haven't done anything that he will have to fix. :)
Do not use Rhapsody. See if you can get the downloaded songs from Rhapsody to Widows Media Player or another downloading program. If you need any help update the problem.
Good Luck
