Did you remove the shipping bolts from the back of the washer? They are located on the back, usually very clearly marked "REMOVE" and have a red or yellow plastic washer/bushing. This is a fairly common problem with front load washers, from what I understand.
They're big suckers, and they keep the drum suspension from absorbing any vibration (so the drum doesn't slam around during shipping). Good luck!
We picked up a Frigidaire Infinity front loading washing machine. After the first load was washed as it was drying the machine started shaking violently and was moving around the room. We tried a few different things: load sizes, spin speeds, trying to make it even, holding it down, we had no luck.
We had skipped removing the shipping hardware. Although it does say IMPORTANT, the importance was placed on keeping them for future use, when shipping, so we figured we could just leave them in. WRONG. They are long bolts! Once we removed them the machine purred during the spin cycle like a little kitten.
make sure the unit is totally level on all4 corners if this dont cure it make sure there arent any shipping bolts toward the bottom that were supposed to be removed after installing that are still on them they will have a yellow or red tag that will say remove after shipping hope this helps
You will have harmonic inbalance about 800 rpm on most front load machines, causing them to shake termporarily as it ramps up on the spin cycle. Be sure to check if the shipping bolts have been removed. This is the most common mistake most people make while installing front load machines. If you don't remove the shipping bolts, it will cause most machines to shake violently and can cause damage.
Alot of times with front loader machines they will shake at high speed even if the machine is level. The floor may not sturdy enough. You can put a piece of 3/4" plywood or something like that under you machine. I know putting plywood under your machine is not the best looking thing, but it should help the shaking. The product just needs to to sturdy.
take the shipping materail out,,remoce the 4 bolts on back of machine,,the washer should of came with a little wrench...after removing shipping bolts put the 4 white sluggs or vcaps in hole ,,pull bolts with rubber or plastic grommet..onthejob
The Shipping bolts need to be removed from the back of the unit?? they go thru a plastic sleeve once the bolts are out you can twist the plastic peice to remove them completely I think there are 3 of them
We have finally resolved our problem thanks to annetipu's note about someone mentioning a rod or pin that had to be removed. On the Frigidaire website, you will find the following:
14. Vibrating sounds.
Tumble action washers: Shipping bolts or braces are still in the washer.
Remove 3 shipping bolts, 3 yellow spacers and 3 metal "P" clamps from the back of the washer. Remove the access panel from the front of the unit and remove 2 yellow shipping braces and large Styrofoam shipping block. Replace the access panel.
