What do you mean you are unable to pull the bobbin thread through, elaboration would help solve the problem...
I suspect I'm having the same problem with you if it's anything to do with the top thread looping around in the bobbin holder.

Damn machine!

Most janome's have diagram's on the inside of them check your diagrams and manuals carefully to make sure you have the bobbin and thread going the right way. I was having the same prop with the bobbin and I have no manual (still trying to source one for the mystyle 20). After much frustration with untangling, I worked out my bobbin was in back to front/upside down.

I have a New Home 740 and cant figure out how to thread it.

So, I am unable to find information for the New Home 740. However, most machines from the same era thread the same. You might try looking at some videos. Also, I believe Janome makes the New Home machines so you may be able to get a manual for your machine from a dealer.

A manual would be helpful:

Even if you are unable to find a manual for your particular model, similar models usually thread the same or similarly. Just be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the machine so the thread will seat in the tension disks.

Hello dear

have you tried changing the needle?
have you tried adjusting the top thread tension?
it might be the needle and the thread are not compatable,, the needle may be to light for the thread.
if the suggestions don't help, sew on the sewing machine till it makes the loop and then stop the machine and take it to the repair man and let him see the loop and then ask him why it's making the loop.
