SOURCE: hisense air conditioner

-If both compressor and fan motor starts and stop, thermostat is the defect.
- If only the compressor check for your outlet no sign of discoloration, check the voltage if normal, check the defective overload protector of the compressor it its external, or compressor itself is defective

SOURCE: blower motor in home air conditioner does not work

The most common failure for this problem is either the start/run capacitor or the fan motor. IF YOU ARE NOT experienced with electricity then I would strongly suggest hiring a technician. The volts are 220 with a potential of 50 amps in a common residential unit.

If you are knowledgeable in this area then make sure the motor has volts to it. If it does have volts and does not spin, it is bad. You can sometimes tell by feeling the motor it will probably be very hot. The compressor will eventually shut itself off when it over heats. It usually will restart after it cools down(sometimes many hours). The motor and capacitor are pretty generic and can be matched up at a local Grainger store or whatever Retail, specialty store that you have in your area.

I hope this helps:)

The unit after running for ten minutes blows hot air inside the house

Service your unit completely and then check the following. 1. Thermostat setting must be minimum +3 degree from your temp. 2. Check room temp sensor 3. Check your out door unit fan motor. (If the outdoor fan runs with less rpm the compressor will get cut off by overload protector)

Kenmore room air cond fan runs, no cool. checked

if the fan motor is on but the compressor is not : if the compressor has correct voltage up to the terminals and is not operating, the compressor is bad, if ther is not power to the terminals, the start components may be the culprit, if there is no power to the start componenets then the controller is the issue.

How do you switch the air condition to auto

You can switch it to power saver mode, it would cut the fan when compressor cuts off as well. The other stting just cuts off the compressor. If your unit is too small for a room it will keep running, or it you dont have good insulation in your house.

Aou18c1 not shutting off

Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, Sanyo mini-split indoor fan motors operate continuoulsy. The room-temperature sensor is inside the unit, so the fan motor needs to circulate air continuouly to sense room-air temperature. This is normal operation.
