How many vehicles do you have? 'AC' is a make of cars by the way and famous for the AC Cobra.

There is a history of them discharging power overnight. I have never heard of a car discharging a battery when you put it into drive!

Have you checked all of the fuses with a meter to see if they have power ?

the car is imobalised, try disconectint the earth from battery for 5 mins and reconect, car should start

Remove the cables, look for any bolts holding the battery there, there should be at least 2, loose them, pull out the battery, put the new one in, put the bolts on again and tighten them properly (not too hard). put on the cables again. Be sure to put the right cable on the right pole! if you put it on the wrong pole you will have a surprising, yet very nice to watch rain of sparks. some newer cars have the battery inside a box like thing, if you cant see the battery just by popping the hood, it should be inside a somewhat rectangular box. Yes this will defiantly blow the main engine fuse. This fuse is located in the engine compartment and is usually bolted down with 10mm bolts.

You recycle the old dead battery

You don't disconnect anything on today's
vehicles, even with the key on

Put in a new battery,start the car, warm it up
& drive it for awhile & maybe you will get lucky
& it will complete some of the drive cycles & run some
monitors ,you know nothing about & it will be fine

If not, your mechanic friend should be about to stop
by with the bosses scan tool & help you out

OKmheres what i did and it worked- 1-take battery out and charge fully 2-Put battery back in car but put positive battery cable on first-dont tighten up yet 3-put negative battery cable on battery dont tighten yet 4-wait 2-minutes 5-take positive cable end off,ho;d in hand 5-take negative cable end off battery ,hold this in other hand 6-now hold both cable end together for 30-seconds -now put battery cable back on battery-make sure you put Positive cable back on First,then negative cable next-tighten both up-Now go see if dash lights are on-then it should start!! if not,repeat cable procedure

Try taking the battery out of the car and putting it on a battery charger for about an hour then put it back in to see what happens sometimes a jump isnt good enough especially is the battery is really drained. I mean you can jump it but it would take a while a better way is to put a good charge on the battery and then try it if it still clicks then it may be the starter but I would certainly try the battery first.

sounds like alternater, is on its way out, if it is not charging or over charging, it can drain your battery dead.

i put a new battery in mine and was told to put in the new battery and then get in the car with door shut and turn key to on position for about 90 seconds, this worked for me, mabey it will work for you, if your battery is still hooked up you should first unhook it for a couple minutes then reconnect the battery and follow procedure. hope this helps
