your post code is the code associated to your address by your countries postal service. in Uk postoffice.com will detail postcodes in US it is usually replaced by your zip code. the format of the post code in uk is AA12 3BB format.

44 isn't a complete postcode so this isn't a valid question - However 44 is the international dialling code for the UK (England/Scotland/Wales/Northern Ireland) - Is that what you wanted?

Problem . Several towns or places can have the same postcode. you wont have much luck if place name is not known. Google-- name places with postcode zxzxzx in mnkjgh. zxzxzx your post code ,mnkjgh your country. if you luck is in and only one place name comes up. bring up Google maps , type in place name and post code . then your address a postcode . using from to mode. Google will draw you a map.

you will need an updated post code file that allows 7 digit post codes (if your in the uk)

Just download that file then extract the files ,plug in your tomtom to your pc, open up the tomtom device in my computer(XP) or computer(Vista/Windows 7) and copy the extracted files into the zip folder, then unplug the device and you will be able to enter full postcodes

You can put your postcode, but you should also mark that it is Australia. If something is sent from the US, it first goes to the country (Australia) then local post services use the postcode you provided to find your city

Thanks for responding.still have not solved it.its just my blaupunkt travelpilot E1 car radio.
can,t just enter destination postcode or street and house number so as to navigate me.
