What does the flashing f 7 mean on a Kenmore stove

I am unable to locate specifications of this stove. At best, I can merely suggest you have that model number at hand whille you call the Sears customer service number:

The "F7" fault code could mean a stuck or shorted key pad/console or it could mean a failed oven control board. There is no way to reset the control.



A service technician would determine if the problem is with Key Panel/Console or the Oven Control by: See image below.

This range was made by Frigidaire for Kenmore. Thus the F3 error could mean a problem with the temperature sensor, the EOC (electronic oven control) or the wiring between the two. You'll need to get to the back of the range and check the resistance at the sensor. In a ~70 degree F environment, the sensor should have a resistance of ~1100 Ohms. (The sensor is connected to the EOC by a pair of violet wires.) Make sure to rule out a problem with the wires, if the resistance tests out of specifications.

If the sensor gives the correct resistance and the wires are fine, replace the EOC. Please check that you have given the full model number, I can't find this model anywhere at Sears Parts Direct or elsewhere.

If the stove is under warranty, contact Sears for repairs. I hope this helps.

Yes the F1 error code means that a button on the touchpad is bad and the touchpad needs to be replaced.

Hmmmm, look up what that might mean in your owners manual, and follow direrections from there. If you don't know where it is, then go to mfg's web site and download the manual.

usually that is associated with a runaway temp depending on the moddle
you would need to replace the sensor
goto sears dot come typee in your model number
they will ship you the part

is it e1 f2 or just f2. usually f2 means you have a shorted keyboard you need a new keypad.

Oven control beeps and Electronic control as detected fault condition.
Press CLEAR to clear the display and stop displaysF1,F3, F7 ,or F9 beeping.
Program oven again.If fault recurs,record fault number.
Press CLEAR and contact your Sears authorized qualified service agency.
