Hello Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

If you are receiving an error code PAUSE, it commonly indicates that the door of your washer is not securely latched or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume cycle. If these basic troubleshooting tips prove ineffective, try reprogramming your appliance by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is best to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your washer. If the issue persists, then your washer could possibly have a faulty door latch or experiencing a communication error with the control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

SOURCE: keep stopping pausing

If you leave the machine to itself, will it go through the whole wash satisfactorily? If it does, then the start and stop is designed into it. What it is doing is stopping and reversing the washing action. That is so the clothes will not wind up in a long rope shape, like the winding up of a towel like you use to do to a towel to snap your bother or sister in the showers or at the pool. It UNWINDS the load... It goes a few turns one way, then pauses, then a few turns the other way and pauses. Hope this helps..... 2529817.gif

SOURCE: Error / Pause Affinity ATF7000

I had the issue with my Affinity ATF7000 washer displaying err pause err pause .... clicking any button would give me 3 beeps and lights would flash but would get no real error message. Repair man wanted to replace entire computer for $250 plus service call rate. So by dumb luck I did this and got it working.

1. Unplug washer

2. Take off top (screws on back)

3. Unplug connector to the pressure sensor (carefully). Looking at the washer it is mounted to the right side near the front and looks round when looking at it from the top.

4. Plug in the washer and it should display E31. E31 is just saying it cannot communicate with the pressure sensor (which makes sense because you unplugged it).

5. Unplug washer and reconnect pressure sensor.

6. Put top back on and plug in washer.

7. Washer should work but E31 error will remain in memory so if you do call a repair man he may think the pressure sensor needs to be replaced. There is a way to clear error codes but I could not get it to work.

This is my theory on why it worked. The computer program on the washer is stuck in a loop that will not allow the washer to function. When we unplug the pressure sensor we give it a real error and it exits the loop it is stuck in. I am a programmer by day so this may not make sense to some.

Check the belt that spins the drum for proper tension. If it has stretched you will have a hassle. Often you can loosen a belt pulley and put some extra tension on belt, restore friction and operation till belt is replaced with a nice, new tight one.

My washer won't start, it keeps flashing ERR and then the wash-time, and then LOC. My roommate says to fix it before, he held down three buttons, but can't remember which ones. Any idea?

Try the following two buttons: press Options and Select together for 10 seconds (or until the LOC disappears). The pair of buttons held for 10 seconds also sets this control lock.

To find out the error code, turn the Program knob to the start position, Spin Only. Press Start/Pause to start the cycle. Press Cancel to stop the cycle and turn off the LEDs. Press Cancel again and within 5 seconds press and hold the Options and Start/Pause buttons until the LEDs start chasing. Then release the buttons. Turn the Program knob seven clicks clockwise from the Start position. The control will signal the last error code. To clear the error, press and hold Options and Start/Pause for 3 seconds. Then either unplug the washer for 5-8 seconds before plugging it back in. Alternatively, press and hold Options and Start/Pause together for a few seconds until the Wash LEDs appear.

http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/frigidaire-electrolux/12950-frigidaire-atf6000es1-wont-drain.html has a link to the service manual for the listed washer (the link is half-way down the page).

I hope this helps.

GE Adora front load washer overloaded now won't start

Washers - Resetting Electronic Controls on a Washer

If there is a pause in the washer cycle, the controls will lock up. The pause can occur because of a power failure or it was put in the test mode at the factory.

Also, if the washer was stopped before the cycle was complete or the consumer has pushed the stop/pause button to temporarily stop the cycle and the cycle is not reset. Over a period of 24 hours, the washer will pump out and spin, but will stay in the final spin.

To correct the situation, shut off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or unplug the washer, then turn the timer knob around and back to any position other than final spin. Verify the water is turned on and restore power. This should resolve the issue.

Machne beeps and all indicator lamps on right hand column flash

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
