The compressor in my whirlpool stand up air conditioner is running fine but will only cool for a few mins then the cooling stops and the fan just blows. Any ideas?

If it is a capacitor start and run type, suspect the run capacitor. If not, suspect the start relay stuck or compressor on it's way out

I have a Mach3 unit with 1 capacitor 35uf 370 VAC and a fan capacitor, unit trips breaker after cooling RV when system starts up again, shouldn't there be a run, start, fan capacitor? only have 2...

You need to check the Amp draw at start up of the compressor. Also if you have a meter that can check the compressor capacitor, it needs to be checked. If the capacitor is ok and the compressor starts at a higher Amp draw than the rating on the capacitor, you will need a start capacitor.

The unit is not cooling. The fan works, the Compressor turns on but after a few seconds shuts off.

Hi,
The compressor is not always starting...sometimes it tries but does not start...
It could be a capacitor and relay problem... or the compressor could be going bad...
Change the capacitor and start relay first and then see if that gets it going...

Fedders heat pump/ac unit

The compressor is hot and is tripping on overloads. Shut off, let cool off and after is cool see if it will start again. If it does start, check to make sure that it has a ful charge, and check for bad capacitor. There's a reason why it gets hot

Does not cool - where is capacitor ??

The start capacitor is located in the upper unit of the AC. Remove the shroud and there is an access panel on the driver side of the unit. Remove the panel to access the three capacitors. The start capacitor is the one that has the small relay attached to the top.

If the capacitor is bad replacing it is just a mater of moving the wires from the old one to the new one and mount the new capacitor securely in place. In replacing a capacitor it is recommended to replace it with the same rating as the one removed.

If the capacitor is bad it will not prevent the compressor from getting power. Is the compressor trying to start at all. If the compressor is running and you have no cooling the system could have lost the charge of refrigerant.
