What is wrong with my wave runner

NO ANTIFREEZE!!! simply hook up to the flush fitting and while running start spraying fogging oil thru intake . you want to "load" it up with that stuff and don't rev high for about 3 or 4 min the just disconnect battery and spray motor and pump down with WD-40

does it have spark at plugs ? carb clean and fuel new ?

How old is the fuel? Ethanol causes major problems if left too long. You may need to empty the fuel and clean out the fuel system. Try changing the fuel filter and adding some seafoam to the fuel and running seafoam thru the fuel system. Hopoe this helps.

An engine that dies under load but starts ok and idles ok has a fuel blockage in the main jet . Possible from water in the fuel in the carby. Water will not pass through the jet and blocks up the hole A trick that is used is to place a pint of metholated spirits in with the fuel. It breaks down the surface tension of the water and allows it to pass through the jet.

Check to see if you get power to the starter when you try and start it. If you do, they you may have a bad starter. If not then you may have a bad switch or even blown fuse.

sounds like the fuel pump is bad, can you pull off the hose and test it?

Hi, I was raised on a marina and road more wave runners and jet skis than the average bear. One of my wave runners started having a problems like yours sounds to be and I look it in and let them run test on it. Mine had an electrical problem causing it to think it had problems that it really didn't have. They just reset some of the settings and it was fine after that.
One more thing...ha you checked it's impeller? Dings on that w/hinder your speed.

I was raised on a marina and worked at the waterfront for quite a while. I had wave runners, jet skis, boats, you name it.
Whew, that sounds serious. You probably need to take it to the shop and let them run some test on it. Your problem is bigger than myself.
