SOURCE: When i charge my ezip

I'm having the same problem. checked fuses and both are good. going through the wiring harness to look for shorts. have a bad feeling the micro controller died, that is the little plastic box with metal fins on it under the seat post behind the batteries ******* to the frame. i can bypass the micro-controller and connect one 12 volt battery directly to motor and runs full speed. somehow it is wired with 2 - 12 volt batteries in series to give 24 volts and them the processor cuts back down to 12 volts to run the motor. not sure why this is engineered this way? still working the problem. what sucks so far is that the micro controller is encased in resin so it is virtually non repairable.
* Update added.
Found these wiring harness for sale online scooter stores and on ebay. I replaced mine with some intermediate level adapting the harness to my model scooter and this includes some soldering and wire splicing changing power connector heads off old harness to new harness to fit bike. Works great.

I have a Taotao electric scooter not a mobility scooter the scooter is fully charged the lights and horn work fine but when you turn the throttle nothing happens it makes a kind of clicking sound

Not familiar with your particular scooter - but I am well versed with electricity. The issue you're seeing is likely a result of a poor connection somewhere. The amount of power (current in amps) required to operate the horn or lights is a small fraction of that needed to run the motor.

You should trace larger sized wires/cables from the motor back as far as you can - ideally to the battery if possible. Remove, thoroughly clean and reconnect each of these cables under each terminal screw - one at a time. This way you'll know any unconnected cable goes on the only terminal that is removed.

At this point, you should have 100% good connections for all high current loads - including the motor and will probably be able to use the scooter. Placing the battery on a slow trickle charger overnight will help ensure that the battery is fully charged - not just enough to operate the horn or lights.

Good luck!

No charge indication on throttle and motor doesn't work - New charged batteries.

Make certain the Batteries are IDENTICAL to the original. Any change of the Voltage, Current, or Amps will damage the motor or starter. Check all connections to see if they are properly set and Plus is to Plus and Minus to Minus. Check the Ground wires. Make certain all wires are insulated well, no cuts, peeling, cracks, or holes. Technically speaking, if you do not have test equipment like a VOM (Meter) you cannot check continuity (for shorts) and leaks.

I have two electric razor 175 and put new batteries in both of them. After fully charging them all i hear is a click everytime turn the throttle but nothing,, anyone that can help please help

Thank you for choosing FixYa, I will be helping you today :)
When using an electric scooter, it's always important to know that you must advance on the scooter manually, and during this action, only then can you turn the throttle. The engine on an electric scooter is not powerful enough to move a person by itself.
Hope this helps, thank you :)

I have a 240W electric scooter with 12V X 4 batteries of 20AH each. The battery current meter, headlamp, trafficator lights, horn etc work. Throttle does not produce motor rotation. All connections checked....

Make sure that the manual brake release/freewheel lever is enaged as if it is not, this will allow you to push the scooter, but will not engage the drive motors. It is usually located on the rear of the vehicle; check your owner's manual.
If this does not work, contact the manufacturer for additional troubleshooting.
Good luck!

I have a razor e200. Nice physical condition. Garbage picked. Light on throttle lights up next to the 24V label. No power when throttle is open. No engine noise. power switch is on. reset button is...

Charge the batteries. If still no power than replace the batteries because they are dead. The batteries in the scooter need to be kept charged. If the scooter has not been charge in two weeks to a month and over. They are probably dead and need replacing. Find replacements at razor.com
