SOURCE: I have a 22 inch

hi,
Its sounds like the LCD pannel driver ic faulty. In lcd tvs bellow 32 inches this ic is integrated to (part of) the lcd pannel. In 32 inches or above this is a separate circuit board name T-Con board. In your one it is on the pannel itself. There is no repair possible with this. This ics drives the pixels on the LCD screen. To repair the same You have to replace the lcd pannel. The LCD pannel is the most costly part in an LCD tv. Also it will be available only from the authorised servicing center for the Hisense. Its Better to go for a new tv than reparing it.

Hisense tv won't stay on?

If your Hisense TV won't turn on, first ensure that the power cord is correctly seated in the back of your TV and then try a different wall outlet. If the TV still doesn't turn on, unplug it from the wall, wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in.

Why does my TV show discolored vertical bands and can I fix it at home?

The T-con board controls the picture elements on the screen. Usually replacing this board will solve the problem. If you can touch the screen and the lines disappear and later reappear, that says the screen itself is defective. The only fix is to replace the entire screen.

My television shows a small line not a full screen

If its a horizontal line in the middle of the screen do not switch on the TV till you fix it. It means you have lost the vertical amplifier IC ( chip ). If you continue to turn on the TV the phosphor in area where the line is coming will get permanently burnt and do not look at the screen it can cause retina ( eye ) damage.
Take professional help to replace the chip.

Tv comes on and then after a while the picture goes down to this scrunched up color lines in the middle of the set and sound goes off also. It is a Hitachi 60 inch big screen 1997 model

Sounds like you have broken solde joints on the vertical/horizontal board. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4751428-fix_no_vertica_drive_problem which explains the problem and how to fix it. Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the generous rating.

Screen on rca tv compressed into 2 inch line in middle

The 20F530T uses the relatively newer ITC008 chassis. If the picture collapses down and only a small bright line is visible, it means that your vertical output IC has stopped working correctly. This could be due to a defective IC, cracked solder joints on the IC or the power supply that feeds it. The IC should be replaced or resoldered and/or the vertical power supply restored by an experienced tech familiar with the new line of RCA TV's.
