The copy function on this unit is not operating correctly. When attempting to copy a page, it only copies a small portion of the page.

Try to reset the printer to its default factory settings. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Defaults > Set Defaults > Use Factory > OK button. You will then be asked to enter some printer information (i.e. date, time, fax number, etc.). After entering these information, try to print again.

I want to reset my printer, HP Laserjet P3015 to default, like as if it were a new printer with default settings.

Press the Menu button c01779038.gif , select the CONFIGURE DEVICE menu, and then select the RESETS menu. RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS. Clear the page buffer, remove all perishable personality data, reset the printing environment, and return all default settings to factory defaults. Hope this helps.

Reset printer

Please print printer settings configuration page. The page will explain the printer menus and change values. Menus are represented by Continue, Ready/Data, Toner Low and Load/Remove Paper light sequences. Menu Items and their values are indicated by Paper Jam and Error Light sequences

Here are the instructions to do that:

1. Turn off the printer.

2. Open the front access cover

3. Press and hold the red Stop button while powering up the printer.

4. The lights should cycle, release it when the light stops cycling.

5. Close the cover once the ! light displays

6. The lights should cycle again.

7. Then press the Continue button.

8. This should print a Printer Diagnostics page.

9. On the Printer diagnostic page, Use the Utilities menu to troubleshoot printer problems

- Return the printer settings to factory default values.

- Sometimes resetting the printer to the original settings solves formatting problems.

- All menu items are reset to the factory default values except:

- All settings in the Parallel menu, Network menu, and USB menu.

- All downloaded resources (fonts, macros, and symbol sets) in printer memory (RAM) are deleted.

- Resources in flash memory are unaffected.

10. Please locate the value that would say "Factory Defaults".

11. We would need to follow the exact light sequence that you see for the "Factory Defaults".

12. Press and release the Cancel button to advance through the menus and the menu items to the one we would need.

13. Press and hold the Continue button until all the lights cycle to save the function/value.

14. Restart the printer.

My Lexmark x3550 only prints one page of multiple pages. I've checked my print setting and it all looks correct. I'm also having problems scanning and copying. It's a fairly new machine as I hardly use...

Try to reset your printer factory default settings. Press Settings button -> Defaults -> Set Defaults -> Use Factory -> press Check. You will be asked to setup your printer settings like you're setting it up the first time - set the time and date, etc. When done, unplug and replug the printer into the power outlet to refresh the printer.

Every 10 prints or so a single sheet of paper will come out printed but will crunch up as it is feeding to the output tray. Nothing seems to be blocking it because not every page does it.

If you are getting blank pages between print jobs or between page or each print job, separator sheet must be turn off. By default NONE is the factory settings for separator sheet. You may restore factory defaults. to do this click on menu>settings>general setting>factory defaults.

My hp laserjet P4014n is giving an error message 68.2 permanent storage write fail what can i do to clear this massage?

Hi! I will be glad to assist you in this issue.

Usually all you have to do is initialize hard disk even if you do not have one. Just turn off the printer. Turn the printer back on and when the memory starts to count hold down the menu key until all three lights come on. When all three lights are on solid release the menu button and press the arrow back button and initialize disk should appear in the menu. Just hit the check mark button again and it should take care of the problem.
