lumia phones have an app called nokia care which you can use. Alternately you can go to the nokia web site. On the support page you can select your phone and download the manual.

You can do 3 things on Nokia Lumia 520
1) to use Data Sense (an windows app) to control your mobile data usage by limiting it to a certain level like 100MB a month or something.
2) to turn mobile data usage off on your phone, by going to Setting> Mobile Network then choose "off" option for Data Connection.
3) to contact your Mobile Network ISP & request a Data Connection deactivation.

I have seen a feature in older phones that you can see files received via bluetooth in settings>bluetooth>received files
