SOURCE: I have a Lexmark X8350

This can differ b/n manufacturer and models, but basically what you have to do is get in to the printer properties window. Go to File>Print. In the box that pops up, make sure your printer is selected and click the "properties" window. THere is usually a tab that says "Printing Preferences", but like I said, this can vary. Just go thru all tabs and if you are looking to print in black, look for an entry that says "Print in grey scale" or "Economy Print". That should resolve your issue. Be sure to click OK in the box when you're done :O)

That printer is capable of printing that size, if when you purchased the printer and didn't change any of the factory settings it should print fine, if any of the settings were changed then you need to reset that printer to factory default In the settings menu.

Want to reset my Zebra 140XiIII back to factory settings?

I resolved the problem by going into the setup program and then exiting and at that point I was prompted to save my changes and one of the options was to load Default settings. Once I chose this I was able to print on the 4X6 labels correctly, before that the configuration was feeding a label and 1/2 and print across two labels.

Tally 2280+ printing in small font

The 2280+ can be reset to factory default settings by;

Start with the printer Powered OFF
Hold down the 4 buttons under the LCD display
Power the printer ON, keep the 4 buttons held down whilst the printer initializes, release the buttons when the printer shows 'Loading Defaults'

Prior to resetting factory defaults I would recommend printing a menu print on the 2280+ so you know how the printer is currently set up just in case there are any problems.

Hello, I have characters printing trouble, so that I would like to restore the factory default settings for my printer Tally 2280. But I do not know the procedure to do so. I need Helps, very...

You can reset the menu on the 2280 to factory default settings, but I would strongly recomend first printing a menu print to ensure you know how the menu is currently set up.

The menu can be printed in the follwoing way;

Switch the printer power on.
Press the Setup key to enter the menu settings.
Press the key under "Menu",
Then press the key under "Print" and your current configuration will be printed.

If the menu is locked power the printer on holding down the setup button, this will unlock the menu.

To restore the factory defaults within the printer,
switch the printer off.
Press all four keys beneath the printer display and switch on the printer.
Keep the keys pressed until "Initializing" is seen in the printer display.
Your printer is now set to the factory default configuration.
