To update your map, you have to enter the Product Authorization Code that came with your device in their website http://www.mapking.com/International/eng/support/registration.html



From there, you will gain access to MapKing's map update service.

Go to website above, it tells you what to do there.

It should be possible as long as the map system software is compatible. Best thing to do is to try before buying or have money-back-guarantee.

This unit may need servicing. Is it still under warranty?
If not it sounds like a software issue or even a firmware problem.
Much like a computer it's firware/bios may need to be reflashed again!
Do you have a contact for Shinco? I would see if you can find one via your search engine.
