In your search engine be specific. Whether it's google or yahoo it does not matter. Type "driver for minolta pagepro1350w" if that is the printer you are trying to hook up. If it is a HP 2100, Type "driver for hp 2100 model printer" Sometimes it doesn't hurt to include you operating system in your search. What is your printer make and model? If you do not have the software, you need to download the software from one of the following locations:

Official Canon Drivers and Software

Canon USA:DRIVER & DOWNLOADS

After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.
