Headlight bulb chevy traverse life

As I also had the dealer tell me it would be $120 - $150 to change I looked into it further. If you will remove the screws from the protective cover under the fender (just a few you do not need to remove the full fender cover). You can access the bulb. You will need to turn the housing and remove the bulb. Be sure to not touch the bulb as oil from your fingers will make certain you will be changing the bulb in a short time. Also I would use the standard bulb as the brighter bulbs run hotter and burned out very fast (2-3 months). If you turn the wheel your access to the bulb is easier. It is tight but by changing the bulb yourself you are saving a lot of money.

I have 2006 Grand Prix How do I change head lamp?

Caution Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:
Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb.
Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete. Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb. Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass. Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb. Properly dispose of the used bulb. Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.
Raise the hood.
Remove the headlamp assembly bolts from the upper fascia support.
Slide the headlamp assembly outward enough to release the headlamp bracket tabs from the slots in the upper fascia support.
Position the headlamp assembly away from the vehicle body to access the electrical connector.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp assembly.
Remove the headlamp assembly from the vehicle.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp bulb/socket.
Remove the headlamp bulb/socket retainer ring from the headlamp, by turning counterclockwise.
Remove the headlamp bulb/socket from the headlamp assembly.

Left xenon ligth is not out... but has changed color from the cool blue ... to a slight pinkish color? is it the bulb or something else

xenon bulb has two electrodes and they will erode away if the bulb is old. The color that you see is probaby the erotion of the electrode mixed with the inert gas and metal halide. All HID bulb will change color over time. For example a brand new 4300K yellowish bulb will eventually turn into a 5000k color bulb which is purple and white

If your bulb is not too old but the colour has changed then that means your bulb has premature problem. Frequently switching on and off the bulb can age the bulb by up to 50%.

I strongly recommended to change both bulbs, so they have even color.

Cheers
