Yes, but you have to understand that if it needs recharged, it has a leak and must be found, repaired, evacuated then properly recharged. Most compact reefers only hold a few ounces of refrigerant, so it does not take much of a leak to affect its ability to cool....Your issue could be something other than refrigerant if its just not cooling.

Glacier in back of fridge wall, caused by heater going bad, is this a lemon?

If the common in your house is grounded, as it should be in the older wiring systems it should work unless the refridgerator is only grounded through the ground lug. If that is the case AND you know the house is wired correctly throughout, ie no wires switched in any switch or outlet, you can ground the common at the fridge. BEWARE! If one outlet or switch is wired backwards and you do this you will get zapped when you touch the refridgerator.

How do you recharge the feon in a chest feezer?

Well you could get a tap valve, like a bpv-31 and tap into the low side, which is the bigger line coming out of the compressor, but your going to need some freon guages, not ones for automotive, but for a/c or refridgeration, freon, and a recovery pump.; just these parts and tools alone your paying more than what it be to have someone over.

My refrigerator (frigidaire) is not freezind. What should be the problem?

Hello....sounds to me like your refridgerator is low on refridgerant(freon gas).Depending on how old it is...This may be the problem..I would start by having it checked and determine if it will be cost effective to fix...or is it best to replace it....The bad smell is problably from dripping from the meat you attempted to freeze uncessfully....Get it checked...let me know...I hope this was helpful.....PEACE....

Hello, I have a siemens upright refridgerator/freezer no KG32U123gb with a fully working refridgerator, however the freezer has recently started to defrost on a regular basis, the temperature rising from...

Your defrost timer is probably staying on too long, or the defrost thermostat is not sensing that the temperature was that high. It does tell you that the defrost heater is operational, just that it is staying on too long.
