Re: Can i install ubuntu on toshiba p755d-s5266 but im...
Try with liveUSB, you don't have to install anything to your computer and you can check all features and compatibilities. But on my laptop almost everything worked with backlight and fn keys.

On my Toshiba Portege I access the overlay number pad by pressing Fn- F11. Try it. To get of that mode, press the Fn-F11 combination again. The led on the F11 key should turn off.
You have Number Lock set on your PC - Have a look for a key top right hand side, it will have something like NumLck written on the KEY - you may need to use that Key in combination with the FN key - bottom left of keyboard - there should be a light somewhere on the keyboard which goes on/off as you toggle the NumLck key.
You should see different coloured numbers on the key s*()UIOPJKLM
These are the numbers and symbols that will be displayed when the NumLock is used
nothing you can do about it ... if you dont use the wireless you can disable-it from bios and the light willl shut down.... i have the same laptop ..and except the battery that goes fast it's a reliable laptop PS you would better use w7-x86/32 bit and it will performe better
i have the same problem.
I run the windows screen keyboard and i discovered that when i press
both r+t keys and u+y both shifts are switching on. i'm not able to switch
it off even using mouse on screen keyboard.
as temporary workaround i press fn key then i press shift on screen keyboard, then both shifts switches off.
i didn't fount full solution.
You need to press the Function button, then the num lock button. The function button may be labeled FN or F in a different color, the same color as the num lock button.
If that doesn't work, go to start, all programs, accessories, accesibility, on screen keyboard....it will display a regular keyboard on your screen, then click on the num lock key on that keyboard.
You need to clean the keyboard. Blow it with air blower so that the paricles inside keyboard will be eliminated. If not work, then you disassemble the keyboard and clean the key one by one. afraid to do , then let the repairman do it for you or you can attach USB keyboard for the laptop.
