Why GE Freezers does not stop - GE Freezers

Great question but I cannot answer it. GE makes several models of chest freezers and they are not all wired the same. My eyesight is not to good and I cannot see your freezer so I cannot answer your question. You might try our friend google and look for the make and model of your freezer with the prefix schematic.

Make sure the electricity is connected. Check the start capacitor - check for the compressor running.

What does the timer power? If it's a heater that defrosts the coil, check that.

Obviously, the compressor is not running. Confirm the presence of power to the compressor itself. If it is getting power and unit does not run, you have an open motor winding OR if you have a start capacitor the latter could be defective. Let's hope that you have the capacitor because they go bad and are a lot cheaper to replace than the compressor!

Spray lubricant onto the fan spindle close to the fan body. Check there is nothing obstructing the fan blade

You can't. They are bonded to the inner walls of the machine and totally inaccessible. Normal for most freezers.

Water line in door frozen.

It sounds like this is a a non DIY issue. there is really not much you personally can do.

I would say 150. - 300. . Start at 3 , then go down if need to . G E 's are one of the best freezers .
