Mute a Call:
You can talk to someone nearby without letting the caller hear you during a call. During a call: Press <C> t o mute the microphone and "MUTED" will display on the LCD.
Your caller cannot hear you. Press <C> again to unmute the microphone.
This is the instructions in making callsand answering calls and how to mute a call.
Making Calls
Input the desired phone number into thekeypad, then press the "Enter" button to initiate the call. Press the"Escape" button on the right side of the device to end the call. Tap"Answer" to answer a call or "Ignore" to reject an incomingcall. If you are on a call, tap "Answer --- Drop Current" to end acurrent call and answer an incoming one or "Answer --- Hold Current"to place the current call on hold and answer the incoming one. Press the"Phone" button to mute a call.
This feature lets you select the number of times you want to phone to ring before the answering system answers a call.
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode). 2. Press the MUTE/PROG button to go to the main menu. 3. Press CID/VOL (up or down) button to scroll to HANDSET SETUP. 4. Press MUTE/PROG button to confirm. 5. Press the CID/VOL (up or down) button to scroll to the RING SELECT menu. 6. Press MUTE/PROG button to enter the menu. RING SELECT 3 4 5 6 TS shows in the display. 7. Use the CID/VOL (up or down) button to scroll to the your selection. The default setting is 5. 8. Press the MUTE/PROG button to confirm. You will hear a confirmation tone and the new setting shows in the display.
NOTE: If you select Toll Saver (TS) the unit answers after the 3rd ring if there are NEW messages, OR the unit answers after the 5th ring if there are NO new messages. This allows user to access their answerer from another location and then hang up after 4 rings to save long distance charges.
THE VOICEMAIL WILL KICK-IN AFTER A CERTAIN NUMBER OF RINGS WHEN NO-ONE ANSWERS. FOR THE FAX MACHINE TO ANSWER PROPERLY IT WILL HAVE TO BE SET TO A LESSER NUMBER OF RINGS....POSSIBLY 2 RINGS LESS TO ENSURE THERE IS NO PICKUP- ANSWER INTERFERENCE FROM THE VOICE-Mail.
Press clear/mute to show TAD on
Press 2 to play any messages and delete any using 0.
Press 8 to switch the answer machine on.
Then clear/mute to return to home screen.
