It's probably just caked with powder or conditioner and needs cleaned. Your handbook gives instructions on how to remove the drawer. Alternatively the dispenser to drum inlet hose may be blocked and some hot water may clear that.

SOURCE: where ecxactly do you put washing powder and stasoft

Washing powder should go in the right hand side compartment, if it is not going down, then check that water is coming into washer.
Conditioner should go in the smallest of the compartments.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: where do i put washing powder in hotpoint aquarius

with experience, put powder in the first, softner in the middle second, pre wash in the third, but with that model i find its always best to use a liquid or gel direct into the machine, it makes the life of the machine last longer, also stops any build up residue

SOURCE: My machine is continually filling up with soapy water

This sounds like the drain hose is 1st too low next allowing sink waste to enter the machine , you should check this.

Why does the fabric softener compartment fill with water that won't drain

When the fabric softener dries out it cakes up, the water left over stops the clogging. Leave the dispenser door open a little when not in use to prevent black mold buildup from the moisture.

Kenmore HE 4t Elite Front Loader Washing Machine

Inside the dispenser drawer, at the bottom there is a tab that you can push down to remove the dispenser drawer. Remove the drawer and check if the dispenser holes are clogged, this is a common cause.

My aeg lavamat 73620 fills water in the wrong compartment. How do I take out the powder-dosing unit to clean it?

with all the machines ive had you pull it out and lift it up at the same time, then give it a good wash when you put it back you have it upright and slowly lower it as you push it in, don't try and force it.

Indesit WIXL85 water level

On a normal wash cycle, you will see very little if any water sloshing around, this is quite normal on todays washers.
You shuold see a lot more on the rinse cycle, as it is a higher fill.
It is usual to more less fill the compartment with powder, unless you are only washing a few items, then half fill it.
Hope this helps.

Bad bosch

The grey sludge may be due to incorrect soap powder (use only front loader) or excessive powder use. Minimise the powder use and insure you do a very hot wash once every 4 weeks to break down powder that may be building up.

Soap powder remains in the soap compartment

Depending on which compartment the powder is remaining in, it could be low water pressure causing the problem.
If it is taking some down, but not all the powder, then try putting the powder towards the front of the compartment.
If all else fails then I suggest you get one of these dispenser balls that you put straight in the drum with the washing.
Plz rate this solution.
thanks.

Fabric softener compartment problem.

I have this problem as well.. All washing machines manufactured nowadays are energy effficient, which means that they don't use as much water as the older models. This can result in a build-up of bacteria in the top part of the washing machine, which is clogging up the bit where the water comes through to flush the fabric conditioner into the drum. What I have to do every so often, is to take the top off the washing machine and clean out the layer of black slime that has built up, blocking the holes where the water goes into the washing machine. Another contributory factor is that the usual program used is a 40 degree wash, which is not hot enough to completely flush the machine through. Manufacturers recommend running a 90 degree wash once a month with just washing powder in iit, no clothes. Hope this is some help
