You need
to perform a quick check of the following steps for us to understand the exact
status of your SMPS(power supply) and Motherboard
1) Open
the CPU and check whether the green light is glowing on the motherboard when
power is given to SMPS.
2) Please
make sure that the HDD IDE/SATA and power cables are plugged in properly on
both ends.Use common sense to check, do not press very hard as the slots are

4) Make sure that the Jumper setting on the back
of the HDD is set to MASTER. NA for

"I have checked the SMPS......." SMPS - Switched Mode Power Supply. Yes Sir, I checked it. As a matter of fact, that's the first thing I checked. How? Well, I have two other PCs. I disconnected this one and checked with another MB. Also, i tried the other two PSUs with this motherboard. And was greeted by nothing but silence.
Yup. Power Button wires are connected to the correct pins. I even tried shorting the pins to get boot. (The thing you normally do when you "bench Test" your PC outside the case.
Thanks for trying though, dissolu. Do you have any other suggestions?
