Husky Q26 120 gallon air compressor wil not turn on?

There are a few things that may have happened.

1. Motor overheated and thermal cutoff switch was tripped. Usually this is a red button on the back of the motor. Press it and it may solve the problem
2. Motor did not start fast enough and it burned out your starting capacitor. This us usually located on the top of the motor under a dome shaped cover. If replacing these you must match up the mfd rating of the original and the replacement capacitor(s)

The spray gun consumes more air volume than the compressor can deliver. You can pause painting periodically to allow the compressor to 'catch-up' or buy a larger delivered-volume compressor. The compressor that you have was intended to supply air for pneumatic nailers and staplers in an intermittent fashion. Hope this helps!

There may be a reset button on or near the motor. If you see one push it. Also are you sure you have power at the outlet. In most garages built within the last 10 years all the outlets are protected by a GFCI outlet. Power runs through this outlet to all the others. Make sure it has not tripped. If you have voltage at the outlet where the compressor is plugged in and there is no reset button it has an internal breaker that should reset itself after the motor cools off. If it does not then the breaker may be bad or the on/off switch is bad. To make sure nothing is wrong with the connection at the outlet, plug it into another outlet without an extension cord just to make sure.
