I have installed window 7 ultimate in IBM laptop but output device is installed no audio device
More then likely if your IT person could not fix the speakers then it will be a hardware issue. I would suggest to contact IBM to find out about a local repair center if at all any. You may also want to check the headphone jack to see if it still works to.
Contact number:

Do this
Start-Control Panel-System-Device Manager
fine Audio Device right click hit uninstall
Then hit File-Scan for new hardware
that should work. if not uninstall it again and look for the latest AC97 audio driver make sure you uninstall if the first part doesnt work
Hello Jakarta,
I assume you have XP installed on your computer,
START>Right click on MY COMPUTER>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager,
Let the list build........This will display all your devices installed on the computer,
Any issues will be highlighted in a YELLOW Question Mark,
Right click and Uninstall this device,
Shut down and Restart.
When you restart the Operating System XP will recoginise and self install the device and show a message when its done,
============================
Try your sound now ,..........
Still no sound ???
============================
then go to START>CONTROL PANEL,
(Let the list build),
and look here for your audio controller or sound device.
If not present then you will need to download the drivers from the Manufactuers Download site,
phew,
That covers it all ,I hope,
any questions please ask away,
Thanks Misterdj,
