How do i get my ipod to play through my cd player

There are two ways you can use your ipod through your HU.

1. You can use the Aux port (located in the rear of your deck), which you will have to run AUX cable and connect it to the Ipod. Mind you this set up won't charge your ipod. Have to change the source to AUX for sound.

2. Through the USB cable that is included with the system connect your ipod (From the looks of things USB connection is also in the rear of the deck). Hit the Ipod button and that should be all she wrote.

My Dual amp wont put out power when deck is in aux or ipod modes.

my pioneer deck does the same thing its just that when in aux mode, it will not play loud enough, i have to turn it up all the way just to hear a little sound, and i really dont know y, but when in those mods, it usually doesnt put out sound on ur subwoofer or amp rca wired on back of ur deck, and usually they do, but the power is not large enough for ur amp to pick the frequency up from ur rca wire connections. that also has happened to me before, i just usually ignore it, and just burn an mp3 cd w like hundred songs, so i dont need a ipod or mp3 player for aux.

hope i was help :)

I cant figure out how to get an MP3 player to play through my CD player....it has 3 different audio rca jacks in the back...i try all three none worked....is there an AUX setting that need to put my cd...

what kind of cd player do you have? you must make sure that your unit has auxillary inputs. some decks dont have them. if it is set up with aux input rca's, then you just connect those to the mp3 player, then you should be able to play it in the aux mode on the deck. if you cant find it by hitting the source button, then you may not have it. I know on my sony stereo, I actually had to turn the deck off with the ignition switch on. then I press the menu button, and there I can toggle the aux mode on or off. if that doesnt work either, then you either dont have aux inputs, or the inputs are bad on the stereo, meaning its not gonna work at all.

Not getting the Option of Aux.

You probably need to enable the aux input. To do this, turn the deck off and then enter the function menu. Set the aux input to on and you should be good to go.

Aux Input on Back?

Aux input on the back depends if there was a aux button on the front and the brand of deck. If one is there then you dont need Best Buy to do it. removing the deck is not as hard as people make it seem. The best way to remove the deck to check is find a manual for removal; exp: chiltons, hayne or even get it from crutchfield. Be careful though, some decks may have the aux button and a 3.5mm jack in the back but the jack is sometimes used for a remote. So get the mauals for the deck you have and the manual for removal.

Aux

if it has aux its probably going to be right on the front, its most likely mini-din, the same connector used for headphones and pc speakers, youll need a mini-din to mini-din cable, also known as an audio cable, you can get the mcheap at radio shack usualy, its a cable that allows a pc subwoofer to be hooked up to the pc's audio card, with this just turn you ipod on and control it as normal while the deck is set to aux and you should hear your ipod. some decks have actual ipod connectors that work differntly but I personaly don't know much about them, I have the mini-din connector, and an ipod shuffle
