Hey gita! Formatting a Flash drive is really simple! Assuming you're using Windows, plug it in your PC and go to My Computer. Right click on the drive and press Format. You can choose either Quick format or normal format(Quick format does it really quickly but it may not yield best results). After that simply press Format and wait for it to finish. You should have formatted your Flash drive and have your original 4GB of space restored! Keep in mind that you may have less than 4GB(about 3.8-3.7) This is because formatting writes instructions to the flash drive. Have fun :)
Sorry but you wont be able to put a file larger than 4gb due to file format limitation since you used fat32. only NTFS supports files larger than 4gb. if you want to use it with large files you need to format again using NTFS. hope that helps!
You formatted your pendrive with a FAT32 Filesystem instead of using NTFS.
Do the following. Backup the data currently on the drive, Right click on the drive, choose Format and under Filesystem, choose NTFS ... click ok... you will not be able to use all 4Gb of space on the drive.
1. plug ur usb
flash 2. run Formatter v2.9.0.9.exe 3. follow the instruction and
wait for the format (might take 5min for 4GB) 4. after complete, may
the small volume (about 2MB...here the solution 5. plug your usb
flash on other computer and format like regular (make sure u untick
quick format) and click on "restore device defaults" then click format 6.
now your usb flash drive was like a new one
try format in the following ways:-
right click on my computer then click menage then click on disk menagement then right click on the drive that is your pen ddrive then click format it will surely format ur drive, good luck.
Yes Dear! I can help you to solve that matter. You should use USB format tool and after got that tool you can format it that you want and it will not only work properly while you will be able to use 4GB space again. I assured your problem will be solved.
Thanks
