SOURCE: How do I turn on my green keys on my Acer Aspire One?

Not able to find a colour picture of the keyboard - But I suspect you mean the numbers that are on the following keys u,i,o,j,k,l,m
To gain access to these numbers you need to put the number lock "num lock" key on - to do that use the <FN key> together with the <F11 key> That will now change the keyboard so that numbers are displayed instead of the letters

Select your exact model and then got the document tab, to downlaod the user manual

OK, have you "pressed AND hold down" one ALT key while pressing the other green-key you need?

Is the CAP LOCK on?

How do I activate the green character keys on my ACER Aspire E1-522? Nothing seems to work. Do I need special software?

I don't see any green characters, only blue. No matter what the color, use the keys in tandem with the Fn key. Press the Fn key then the key with the blue character kay to access that function.

Monitor have one line green

its either the onbaord graphics card or the lcd screen.

using a VGA cable, plug the laptop into a external monitor

you will have to hold the FN key + F6? (key should have a lcd pic on it)

if it does not work then ur onboard gaphics card is faulty.

if you get signal via monitor then its the lcd that needs replacing

Green function key locked on acer laptop

Hey, I've just been having this problem. Try pressing CTRL + SHIFT + FN all at the same time. I found out that I had to press them once to turn on the green keys, and then press them twice more to turn it off. I hope that works for you.
