Can I get a diagram of how to remove the heater core

In order to remove most heater cores involves discharging the air conditioning system, draining the radiator fluid , disconnect blower motor, disconnect the air-conditioning lines, special tools are needed for most models. Remove PCM ( COMPUTER ) LABEL AND DISCONNECT electrical connectors, disconnect vacuum hoses. Hope this helps, but really should be done by qualified mechanic.

Water pump runs constantly but no water pressure or water comes out of hose.

Lots of possibilities. Inlet filter might be clogged. I once had a lizard crawl into a water feed line, totally blocked the feed. Check valves might be stuck closed. Discharge hose might be plugged. Pump might be trashed ( if it is a vertical engine it is probably a throw away pump) Nozzle might be plugged.
Disconnect the hose at the discharge and turn on the water supply. It should have a stream of water even without the motor running. That will check the inlet filter, feed pipe and check valves.

I have a little giant submergable sump pump and its not pulling water the motor keeps getting hot How to fix it?

Check the discharge hose to see if it is clogged or kinked. If you disconnect the pump from the hose, does the pump operate normally? Check the bottom of the pump to make sure the pump intake is not clogged. If no clogs are found, and the pump does not work with the hose disconnected, it is probably the pump. Depending on the age of the pump and the pump size, it may need replacement.

How to remove water pump

Pretty simple operation...here's an overview of the component locations:

chris_in_ma_4.jpg
Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel. Lift panel out at the bottom and it should fall down. Discharge pump is on the right-hand side. Simply disconnect the hoses from: 1) the tub and from 2) the outbound discharge hose. Then remove all screws holding the pump in place. The electrical should be a quick disconnect adapter.

It might help to drain the assembly first -- just follow the instructions in the Use & Care manual.

Not much heat and clean filter light comes on when filter is clean

This sounds like air flow restriction. Test by disconnecting the hose at the back of the unit, form an opinion of air flow and see if filter light stays off.

If ithe filter light stays off while running with hose disconnected, hook the hose back up and investigate the restriction in the hose, next most likely place to look is at the discharge opening at the exit of the building.

If the filter light is still on, you likely have a restriction or lint build up inside the unit, you have to unplug, open the unit and find the restriction.

Leaking on the passenger side, next to centre console. Dropping water level in so that it needs refilling almost daily 0.5 litre+. How do you fix it or can get a quote.

your heater core is leaking, need to replace it or u can put a hose connector to by-pass heater, this is done for temporary repair only. under hood look for two coolant hoses that go into firewall of veh. and install a hose connector that is same outside diameter of the inside of hoses & install two clamps to keep pressure from coming out.

All of a sudden the dishwasher is not rinsing the dishes well. There is soap left on everything.

Look for drain issues. The essence of your description is dirty water remains.
Look at all screens, and clean them, look for particluate matter in the spray ports on all arms.

Verify that the discharge hose goes to within 1 inch of under counter surface, and that you get good discharge volume out of the drain hose. You need to witness this, easy with disposal. hard with direct plumbing, you need to disconnect and run into bucket to witness, with this type of hook up.

Water will not drain out of washer

Disconnect the discharge hose from the washer and look for a clog at both ends of the hose. Also, look down where the discharge port is on the washer and clear out the clog there also. If you see no clogs, then make sure your discharge hose is not crimped at such an angle to prevent water from flowing through. Also, make sure your discharge hose is not running on the floor and that it goes vertical straight 4.5 to 5 feet from the floor and then loops directly into the discharge pipe. Give that a shot. Still no water drain? Then the water pump needs to be replaced.

Hearter core removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Drain the engine coolant into a suitable container.

CAUTION When draining engine coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted to ethylene glycol antifreeze and could drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or is several years old.
  1. Disconnect the heater hoses. Be careful not to damage the core by pulling on the hose to remove. Cut the hoses if they will not come off easily.
  2. Remove the instrument panel.
  3. Disconnect the resistor assembly.
  4. If possible, disconnect and move the duct (non air conditioning) or the evaporator housing (air conditioning) to the right to gain clearance for the heater unit. If equipped with air conditioning, do not disconnect air conditioning system until absolutely necessary. Refer to for discharging, evacuating and recharging the system.
  5. Remove the instrument panel stay and heater unit.
  6. Disassemble the heater unit by removing the duct, mode control case, core assembly and heater core.

To install:
  1. Assemble the heater unit by installing the duct, mode control case, core assembly and heater core.
  2. Install the heater unit and instrument panel stay.
  3. Connect the duct (non air conditioning) or the evaporator housing (air conditioning) to the heater unit. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system if the system was discharged to remove the evaporator assembly.
  4. Connect the resistor assembly.
  5. Install the instrument panel as outlined in this section.
  6. Connect the heater hoses. Be careful not to damage the core by pulling on the hose.
  7. Refill the engine coolant into a suitable container.
  8. Connect the negative (-) battery cable and check for leaks.
