I have a goldstar DH40 , just bought it at a yard sale -

Give it a good cleaning before you do anything else. If the fins or filter are dirty, you won't get good service from it. Make sure the drain path is open.

Loud whining sound and wont **** up the water on my f5914-900

Loud whining noise generaly indicates motor issues, which also provide suction to extract water from carpet.

Dehumidifier headaches!

There are three things that must be working to extract water. The 'coil' (a finned metal part that allows air passage) if it's filled with dust and obstructions, no air can move...no water. There is a blower motor that mus move the air. If it is seized up an not blowing air...very little or no water. The compressor uses condensation from the air moving across its coils (like the moisture than forms on a cold glass on a humid day) to extract the water from the air. If it's not working then no water.
So, if there is air blowing out of the dehumidifier the blower is working. If the air is room temp the compressor is not working. If it's real hot air, and the humidifier keeps cycling on and off quickly, the coil is dirty. Those are the 3 things that need to be working.

Dishwasher wont turn on or drain water

the problem is that you are having an overfill issue. You can fix this by extracting the water from the over fill pan. you will have to take the toe kick off and then take that panel off which should have 3 screws on each side and requires a 20 tork screwdriver to get it off. after that is taking off there is a wiring harness that you will see put your hand right under the wiring harness and feel in the over fill pan if there is water you will have to extract it with a sponge or a turkey baster. when you get the unit put back together then reset your unit by holding the start/stop button for 7 secs and that should fix your issue

Wont extract checked the filter, it isnt up all the way, and took apart and didnt find an obstruction

I assume you are talking about no spray. Check the rod inside the handle, amke sure it is moving up and down when you squeeze the trigger, If it is, is water coming out the bottom of the tank when you push in the valve, if it does, then the reservior asm. ( the tank sits on it) maybe bad and will have to be replaced. If yours has a foam filter on the lid of the dirty water tank, make sure there is a 1/4 or so gap from the top of the filter to the top of the tank lid.
