No. You said you can fix anything but I can't even get you to take my question. This is a con of some sort. We have a Behringer Eurodesk MX9000. The solo light comes on and cancels everything. Sometimes it comes on when I turn the board on sometimes it will run for more than 2 hours before it comes on. When it is not on it works fine. I talked to someone at Behringer and they said they had never heard of this problem and did think the board could do that. They want $70 an hour to look at it. That does not include shipping.
Can you help me?
I will venture a guess that the solo light and loss of output is some sort of power supply issue, that is the solo light is a symptom, not the cause. Check the DC bias out of the outputs. If you find much, you certainly have a power supply problem.
The symptoms of time delay before happens is indicative of a warm up or heat problem.
As a test, try to keep it extra cool.. put a fan blowing on it and see if it lasts longer.
The other possibility is a crack in a board or a bad solder joint OR contamination. Behringer equipment does NOT survive spills of liquids into it.
Your posting here seems to be the middle of an existing conversation. I'd like to help, but I'll need a bit more info. Can you describe how you have this connected to the system please?
It seems a bit odd that a Solo indication would cut off all output as that is usually a feature to allow you to hear the channel without it being sent to the mix. Is there a solo option for the mains?
Any information that you can provide that details what happens and how you are connected would help. Also, is there a pattern at all for when this occurs? In other words, is this more likely to happen after the unit has been in use for a long time or less likely?
Thanks,
Dan
