Flame is flickering

The Dometic refrigerators use an ammonia coolant which makes it different from residential units. A good steady flame is essential for proper operation. So first make sure that you are using a winter mix fuel, and that you tank is not close to empty. Obtain a long handled VERY SMALL wire brush (brass if you can find it), and then go into the back of the unit. First, gently clean the around the pilot light area especially the thermocoupler. Check the burner unit and see if you have a mostly blue or a lot of yellow flame. The yellow flame indicates impurities so you would would to clean that area of the burner.

Fan on my 564 cooler only works intermittingly allowing milk to go bad and meat products to spoil. i carry this unit in truck (18 wheeler) and is exposed to quite a rough ride at times. can't afford to...

Do you find water in the bottom of the unit?

Here are some things you can try.

Keep it off the floor a few inches. Use foam or wood blocks or strips.

Keep the inside dry. If ice forms on the cooling unit, it will stop the fan. If this happens, you can defrost it by unplugging it for a short time. Dry the inside good.

Keep the outside fan and heat sink clean. Use the "canned air" and blow off the fan and heat sink.

You can take off the fan covers and remove the fan units ( use care the fans ar easy to damage) Pull the stickers off the back a put a drop of very light lube. Put it all back together and should work.

When you get tired of doing this every month, or the unit fails. Go by a koolatron unit. Better unit, less trouble. Only one moving part. And if it need replacemnt, most truck stops have them.

My dvd player says no disk when there is on in it it is not even a year old

HI, if this unit is less than six months old, it should be returned immediately. the optical lens assembly has failed. it may be a possible manufacturing defect if the unit is only 3 months old. if its more than 3 months old, you will be responsible for this replacement of the optical lens assembly unfortunately.

Maxtor Personal Storage Unit 3200 - Model U01E100

it makes no difference how old the drive is, unless you transfer the same amount of content everyday and can chart and predict. It  might help to wrap your mind around the actually capacity and extent of files you trasfer and use. If that drive is a 200GB....1 gigabyte is roughly 1 cd and a half. A compact disc can hold 700MB, or gauge it to like a ipod.  So if youre possibly transferring say 2GB per day, you will reach the max of the drive in 3 months?

2GB X 90 days=180GB

If you are using graphic applications, or video...you may want to look towards a 320 GB or 500GB as things only get larger with current computers........Just 3 years ago, who knew what a gigabyte was? Now we own drive in upwards to 1TB ( terabyte ).

keep me posted..

Nothing prints on the paper for incoming faxes or copying a document.

i suspect you are correct in cleaning the unit.inkjets if not used often enough the ink will clog the print head. usually the easiest solution is to keep cleaning unit it works again. other wise to clean the print head manually requires the unit to be completely dissambled. it takes a long time to fix it this way. or if replacement costs are acceptable you can replace it. i would just give it a dozen or so more cleanings.
