My grandson's Gator runs ok in 2nd gear, but doesn't do anything in 1st or reverse.

one of your motors must be bad or unhooked, you'll have to remove the dump bed to get at the motors, then verify that they are both connected, or it could possibly be the shifter switch

How do I open a .ftw file extension on a DVD from using Tree Maker??

Hmm, i see that you don't know how to open it. Did you open it from Tree Maker? Or did you press on the file. If you pressed on the file, that might doesn't work. Open it in Tree Maker. If it doesn't work, it's not made for Tree Maker, or it's broken, which could happen to a interupt download.

Gator won't go. I've replaced the foot pedal and the battery. What's next?

first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in
