Need resistance for diode d23 for DeWalt dw9116 charger

Diodes do not have a resistance. They have a forward bias current and a reverse voltage limit. There should be a number on the device for a google x-reference.

Charger for dewalt 18volt drill burned out a diode need to know what to replace it with to burned out to tell ??

I had to replace that on one of mine. It is not a regular diode. P6KE51A Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) Diode. That is the part # on the USA model. A European model may use different #. 8645a6dd-c755-4fe7-a00b-699ca51bc6af.jpg

I HAVE DEWALT CHARGER DE9116.ITS OUT PUT VOLTAGE WITH OUT LOAD IS 51 VOLT.AND WITH LOAD IS 15 VOLT.THE BAATERIES BECOME VERY HOT WHILE CHARGING

check output voltage on charger label most chargers are not regulated so if it says 18 volt output it may put out 24 volts but if its putting out 51 volts it may have a short batteries will get warm but not hot replace charger

I have a dewalt de9116 charger and when a battery is put in it flashes constantly even a new battery. Is the charger defunct?

I would say tee charger is no good. The only internal component is a circuit board so it is not worth trying to repair it/get spares as it will cost the same as replacing the charger.

Cobra 29 NW ST No Sound, litesup, keys up, needle swings

It sounds like it may have been hooked up backwards when hooked up to the battery charger. If so it probably blew the polarity diode (D23) (1N4004) and with no sound it probably blew the audio IC (TA7222AP) mounted to the case of the radio. Also look at all of the large capacitors and make sure that the tops are not swollen or busted open if so they need replaced also.

Cobra 29ltd classic : no rx / tx

Hi,

D23 is the reverse protection diode and it shorting is the primary reason your fuse blew. As you posted, power was applied in reverse, hence other components would also fail. Pls check:
1. D22 - 9.1V Zener Diode
2. TR23 (2SC1096) 9 Volts regulator
3. D19 - 5.1 Zener Diode
4. IC4 (TA7222) - Audio Amp
5. TR14 (2SC2029B/10) - Finals
6. TR15 (2SC2028B/20) - Driver
7. Most capacitors over 220uF (like C123, C114 & C112)

Hope that this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
