My machine makes a horrendous squeaking noise on startup, shut off and with each brew/grind cycle. I used previous advice and bought food grade lubricant and sprayed the screw behind the infuser. This stops it for two days, then it returns. What should I do next?

Here is the complete user manual with pictures on how to remove the infuser.

These machines do need to be lubricated every so often. First, buy some food safe lubricant, e.g. here. Then, turn the machine off, open the front door, and remove the infuser. There is a holder connected to the machine by two hex screws. You may remove this (or even just leave it on). Now attach a long tube to the lubricant (should come with the can) and spray lubricant on both sides of the vertical screw that moves the infuser up and down. Give it a few good sprays on both sides of the screw, up and down, and that should solve your problem.

There are two reasons for this usually. Either the grinder is jammed or the grinding wheel or wheels have broken. Your machine needs to go to a repair shop to be looked at.
SOURCE: Delonghi coffee machine making an aweful noise,
Hi. Husband asks: When you first turn the machine on at the power point, does it make a motor sound and then stop, or is the awful noise apparent at that time.
If the awful noise starts as soon as you turn it on, then most likely there is a motor problem which will need to be seen by a Service Center.
