if windows Pw lost is it local PW or windows Live.com login
the latter is childs play to reset, why not ask for help first?

So let me guess you went to the MS freedown load page
then run IE11, and downloaded the ISO, w10-32 5gigabytes big
and it wont fit in the current hdd.
your PC came with a tiny 32GB SSD, new.
and is way to small, in fact windows 10 updates will fail too.
w10 does not run on this PC, with that SSD. (tiny,dinky small)
upgrade the to 120GB+ SSD...

with PW blocking you, unstated? how.
my guess is the BIOS HOT KEY FOR RECOVERY method.
then it finds the HDD FULL.

you really really should by a SSD 128GB. at least.

and fails now because MS made it too big.
or you have too much data, or too many apps installed.
32GB is NO GOOD for any PC made, even this.
but lenovo was ,well drunk or asleep.

If they are using internal fixed memory and there is no way to connect an external SIMM memory chip. And you have reached the maximum memory of the devices configuration. Eg 16gb
Then the only way to free up space is to start removing Photos, Movies and APP's from your device. They all take up space in memory.

What operating system do you have installed? Windows 7, Windows 10? Do you know how to access 'Device Manager' to see what's installed under 'network?' I am uploading an example:

What kinda signal ?
For performance improvement you must start replacing the HDD with an SSD.
Try a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120Gb, is the best replacement you can do.
It will cost you some money but worth, the result will be a miracle.

Usually, it is not possible to upgrade the cpu on a laptop. In rare cases where it is possible the upgrade usually costs nearly as much as a new laptop.
However, you can significantly upgrade the laptop's performance by adding more memory and by replacing the old slow hard drive.
Your Sony VGN-Z250 is usually supplied with 3GB of RAM memory. You can replace the existing memory modules with a new kit consisting of 2 x 2GB modules (total 4GB). The type of memory you need is "SO-DIMM" (meaning laptop size) DDR3 - 1066MHz (you may use 1333MHz memory but it will only run at 1066MHz speed). I would suggest either G-Skill or Crucial brand memory. And you can replace the hard drive with an SSD. You'll be amazed at the boost this provides, seriously. I would suggest either Samsung 840 EVO or Sandisk Ultra for an SSD. Both offer super-fast performance compared to your old spinning hard drive, and both have very low power consumption so they run cool and give your laptop a few extra minutes of battery power. You can clone/copy your existing Windows setup onto the SSD using free Macrium Reflect software or free software from the SSD maker's website. Or, you can do a fresh install of Windows.

The same model ThinkPad can have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download the drivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a record of which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located on your hard drive. Many of the newer models (if you purchased during the Week/1TB sale Lenovo did) they do no include back-lit keys.
I received mine around 9/19/12 and it did not come with back-lit keys.

Unless you have physically inspected the underside of the keys and you see the diodes, then you should contact Lenovo.

Time for new computer.. Upgrades are not worth spending money. For $300 - $400 you can get laptop with 4 gig memory ringing windows 10. PS Vista is no longer supported.
